Anthony John Todt Murdered His Entire Family. Even the Dog.

Megan Todt was 42. Her children, Aleksander, 13; Tyler, 11; and Zoey, 4 should have had entire lives ahead of them.

Instead, their husband and father, Anthony John Todt, murdered all four of them inside their Celebration, Florida, home in December 2019.

He also killed the family dog, Breezy.

Investigators found their bodies weeks later. Prosecutors said Todt was facing crushing financial problems while federal authorities were investigating his physical-therapy business for alleged health-care fraud.

Todt initially confessed, according to investigators. He later changed his story and tried to blame Megan.

A jury didn't accept it.

In April 2022, Todt was convicted of four counts of first-degree murder and one count of animal cruelty. He received four consecutive life sentences without parole.

There is another disturbing piece of this story. When Todt was a child, his own father tried to have Todt's mother killed. She survived. Anthony witnessed the aftermath.

That history may help explain part of the environment he came from.

It does not erase what he chose to do.
