CBP Officer Luis Uribe Robbed and Sexually Assaulted Vulnerable Women Using His Badge and Gun. A Jury Convicted Him on All 11 Counts.

CBP Officer Luis Uribe Used His Badge and Gun to Rob and Sexually Assault Vulnerable Women

Luis Uribe was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer stationed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

In September 2026, a federal jury convicted him of using the power of that position to prey on women.

Prosecutors proved that between February and October 2022, Uribe targeted four Chinese women working as sex workers in the Chicago suburbs.

He used his government-issued badge and firearm to force his way into hotel rooms.

He robbed all four women.

He sexually assaulted two of them.

And he attempted to sexually assault another.

Uribe took the stand at trial and claimed the encounters were consensual and that he never carried his badge or gun during them.

The jury rejected his account.

After roughly six and a half hours of deliberations, jurors convicted Uribe on all 11 federal counts, including 10 counts of deprivation of civil rights under color of law and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

After the verdict, Uribe was ordered into federal custody as a danger to the community.

He now faces a potential maximum sentence of life in federal prison. As of the information here, he has been convicted but has not yet been sentenced.

The vulnerability of the women he targeted wasn't incidental to this case.

It was part of how prosecutors said he chose them.

Luis Uribe had a federal badge and a government-issued gun. He used both to make vulnerable women afraid of him, then robbed and sexually assaulted them. That's not a failure to uphold the law. That's using the fucking law as a weapon.
