Corey Kuhn Was Convicted of Rape. Then He Violated His Probation.

In April 2024, Corey W. Kuhn was convicted of third-degree rape in Steuben County, New York.

He was sentenced to probation.

Just months later, Kuhn violated the terms of that probation. In July 2024, authorities named him to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office "Twin Tiers Most Wanted" list.

He was captured the following month.

Kuhn was subsequently resentenced to prison. Then, in October 2025, a New York appellate court modified the sentence, ruling that a special probation condition prohibiting him from purchasing, possessing, or using alcohol was unnecessarily broad because it was not sufficiently connected to his offense or rehabilitation.

The legal system can debate the boundaries of probation conditions.

The central fact remains much simpler.
