Former Arkansas Deputy Joseph Dube Pleaded Guilty to Rape. He Got 22 Years.

Joseph Taylor Dube was a deputy with the Conway County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas.

Then he became the subject of a criminal investigation.

In March 2025, the sheriff’s office asked the Arkansas State Police to investigate a report involving Dube. Investigators alleged that he had sexually abused and engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a minor over a period of years.

Dube was arrested and initially faced charges including rape and sexual grooming of a child.

In August 2026, he reached a plea agreement and pleaded guilty to rape.

He was sentenced to 22 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, followed by an eight-year suspended sentence.

Dube had been a sheriff’s deputy.

A man given a badge, authority, and the public’s trust ultimately stood in a courtroom and admitted to rape.

This time, the sentence came with decades behind bars.
