Patrick Andrew Hamburg was a Minnesota Border Patrol agent when he became the subject of a criminal sex case.
In August 2011, the 46-year-old Hamburg pleaded guilty in Koochiching County District Court to second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
That is a serious felony sex offense.
A federal Border Patrol agent was prosecuted and convicted of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The public record may be sparse, but the conviction isn't ambiguous. Patrick Hamburg wore a federal badge, and he became a convicted sex offender.
