Former CBP Agent Scott Inouye Secretly Recorded Sexual Encounters With Hidden Cameras

Scott Michael Inouye was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection employee who worked as a federal screening agent at San Francisco International Airport.

In August 2018, a woman discovered hidden cameras and recordings inside Inouye's San Bruno residence.

The discovery led to his arrest and eventually a criminal trial.

After a five-day jury trial in November 2019, Inouye was convicted of four felony counts of secretly recording sexual encounters.

He was sentenced to one year in county jail and three years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $1,536 in restitution to a victim.

The conviction also effectively ended his federal law-enforcement career. Inouye was permanently barred from working as a state or federal law-enforcement officer.

Secretly recording someone during a sexual encounter isn't harmless voyeurism. It is a profound violation of privacy and sexual autonomy.

Scott Inouye worked in federal law enforcement. Then a woman discovered hidden cameras in his home. A jury convicted him of four fucking felonies for secretly recording sexual encounters.
