Former ICE Deportation Officer Blake Northway Sexually Abused a Family Member for Nearly a Decade. He Got 25 Years.

Blake Northway worked as a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation officer in Medford, Oregon.

In September 2018, he was arrested following a joint investigation by Oregon State Police and ICE’s own Office of Professional Responsibility.

The case involved the sexual abuse of an underage female relative.

Court records showed that the abuse occurred repeatedly over approximately nine years, from March 2009 through September 2018.

Northway was initially charged with multiple counts of sodomy and incest.

In June 2019, he pleaded guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court to five counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of incest.

The judge sentenced him to 25 years in state prison.

If Northway is ever released, he will face another 20 years of post-prison supervision and must register as a sex offender.

Authorities said there was no indication that Northway's crimes were connected to his official ICE duties. That distinction matters.

But so does this:

For nearly a decade, while Blake Northway was building a career as a federal law-enforcement officer, a child in his own family was being sexually abused by him.
