Gage Wade Pierce Accused of Killing His Parents, Brother and Brother’s Girlfriend in Livonia Home

Gage Wade Pierce Is Accused of Killing Four People Inside His Family’s Michigan Home

Gage Wade Pierce, 25, is facing four counts of first-degree premeditated murder after prosecutors say he killed four people inside his family’s Livonia, Michigan, home on June 9, 2026.

The victims were:

  • Sterling Ray Pierce, 58, his father
  • Holly Marie Kimball, 53, his mother
  • Tanner Ray Pierce, 22, his brother
  • Nevaeh May Jaslynn Finch, 21, his brother’s girlfriend

According to prosecutors, Pierce used a semiautomatic rifle to shoot and kill all four victims.

A family dog was also shot and wounded during the attack.

Livonia police responded to the home on Rensselaer Street around 5:30 p.m. Officers arrested Pierce at the scene.

Pierce has been charged with four counts of first-degree premeditated murder and four felony firearm-possession counts. He was denied bond and remains in custody.

If convicted of first-degree murder in Michigan, Pierce faces mandatory life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

The criminal proceedings have been temporarily complicated by questions about Pierce’s competency to stand trial.

In August 2026, a judge found Pierce mentally incompetent to stand trial based on an evaluation from the Center for Forensic Psychiatry. That finding does not determine whether he committed the killings or whether he was legally insane at the time. It means the court determined that he was not currently able to understand the proceedings or adequately assist in his defense.

His case has been paused while he receives psychiatric treatment, with another competency hearing scheduled for October 29, 2026.

Pierce has not been convicted, and the murder charges remain pending.

Sterling, Holly, Tanner, and Nevaeh went into that house as a family and four of them never came back out. Whatever the courts ultimately determine about Gage Pierce’s responsibility, four fucking people are dead and their names deserve to be remembered.
