ICE Agent Scott Deiseroth Drove Drunk With His Children in the Truck, Then Asked Police for “Professional Courtesy”

ICE Agent Scott Deiseroth Drove Drunk With His Two Young Children in the Truck. Then He Asked for “Professional Courtesy.”

Scott Deiseroth was a Miami-based ICE agent when motorists in the Florida Keys reported a pickup truck swerving heavily through oncoming traffic on August 13, 2025.

When Monroe County sheriff's deputies stopped the vehicle, Deiseroth's two children, ages 7 and 9, were inside.

Body-camera footage later showed Deiseroth visibly intoxicated. His blood-alcohol level was reported at .174, more than twice Florida's legal limit.

But the arrest became especially controversial because of what happened next.

Deiseroth repeatedly invoked his position as a federal agent and demanded “professional courtesy.” He questioned one of the deputies about whether he was Haitian and reportedly threatened to have a colleague check the deputy's immigration status after he was released.

Deiseroth was initially booked on charges that included felony child neglect and misdemeanor resisting arrest, but prosecutors ultimately dropped those charges.

On October 31, 2025, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor DUI.

He received 12 months of probation, a one-year driver's-license suspension, 50 hours of community service, and mandatory alcohol testing.

In May 2026, a judge granted early termination of his probation after approximately eight months after his attorney reported that he had completed the required conditions and a voluntary VA alcohol program.

The dropped charges matter. So does the conviction. Deiseroth was not convicted of child neglect or resisting arrest. He was convicted of DUI.

But the conduct surrounding that conviction belongs in the record.

He drove drunk with his 7- and 9-year-old children in the truck, registered more than twice the legal alcohol limit, invoked his federal badge for “professional courtesy,” and reportedly threatened to have a deputy's immigration status checked. Accountability shouldn't disappear just because the person in handcuffs is the fucking federal agent.
