ICE Deportation Officer Andrew Golobic Sexually Abused Women Under His Supervision. He Got 12 Years in Federal Prison.

Andrew Golobic worked as an ICE deportation officer in Ohio for 14 years.

From 2015 through 2020, he was assigned to ICE’s Alternatives to Detention program, supervising immigrants and asylum seekers who were permitted to remain in their communities while their immigration cases proceeded.

That gave Golobic enormous power over vulnerable women.

He exploited it.

Federal prosecutors proved that Golobic used his authority over the women’s freedom and the strict conditions of their supervision to coerce and force nonconsensual sex.

Then, when federal investigators began closing in, he tried to cover his tracks.

According to the Justice Department, Golobic deleted incriminating information, applications, and messages from his cellphones in an attempt to obstruct the investigation.

In January 2024, a federal jury convicted him on four counts, including deprivation of rights under color of law, obstruction of a sex-trafficking investigation, witness tampering, and destruction of records in a federal investigation.

In March 2025, Golobic was sentenced to 144 months, or 12 years, in federal prison.

He must also register as a sex offender and will remain under supervision for 25 years after his release.

In March 2026, a federal appeals court affirmed his conviction and sentence.

These women were navigating an immigration system in which Golobic had direct authority over their lives.

He controlled the conditions of their freedom. Then he used that fucking power to sexually abuse them and tried to destroy the evidence when investigators came looking.
