ICE Official Who Helped Fight Child Exploitation Was Caught Exposing Himself to a 16-Year-Old Girl

ICE Official Frank Figueroa Was Caught Exposing Himself to a 16-Year-Old Girl

Frank Figueroa wasn't a low-level ICE employee. He was a high-ranking federal law-enforcement official, serving as Special Agent in Charge of ICE's Tampa office and overseeing operations across nine counties in Central Florida.

His work included involvement in Operation Predator, a Department of Homeland Security initiative specifically targeting people who sexually exploited children.

Then, in October 2005, Figueroa became the subject of a criminal case himself.

Security cameras at the Mall at Millenia in Orlando captured Figueroa exposing himself and masturbating in front of a 16-year-old girl in the food court.

He was arrested and suspended from his position.

Figueroa later pleaded no contest to exposure of sexual organs and disorderly conduct. He received one year of probation, with credit for two days already served.

Despite the incident and his suspension, Figueroa was subsequently permitted to retire from ICE and retain his federal pension.

The hypocrisy is difficult to ignore.

Frank Figueroa helped oversee a federal operation targeting people who sexually exploited children. Then he was caught exposing himself and masturbating in front of a 16-year-old girl. He got probation and retired with his pension.
