Javian Adams Is Accused of Executing His Parents After a Dispute Over Money

Javian Adams of Waterbury, Connecticut, is facing multiple murder charges after prosecutors say he shot and killed both of his parents inside their home in October 2025.

The victims were 51-year-old Clarene Williams and 55-year-old Marc Adams.

On October 6, 2025, Waterbury police responded to the family's home on Beverly Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Both parents were found dead from gunshot wounds.

According to prosecutors, Adams shot his mother twice and his father once in the back of the head.

Authorities allege the killings followed an escalating domestic dispute involving money. Specifically, investigators said Adams had been confronted about stealing money from his mother's bank account.

After the shootings, Adams allegedly fled to nearby Watertown, where authorities say he broke into a residential garage near Lake Winnemaug. A homeowner confronted him, and Watertown police arrested him the following day.

Adams now faces multiple felony charges, including murder with special circumstances, murder in the commission of a felony, criminal possession and criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, reckless endangerment, burglary, and motor-vehicle larceny.

He was initially held on a combined $6 million bond.

According to reporting on the case, Adams also had a prior history of arrests involving domestic violence and assault and was reportedly on active probation when his parents were killed.

The murder case remains pending. Adams has not been convicted of killing his parents, and the charges must be proven in court.

But Clarene Williams and Marc Adams deserve to be more than “the parents” in another murder case.
