Jordi Monroe Ridgebear of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was sentenced in July 2026 after a federal prosecution involving domestic violence and witness tampering.

The underlying assault was partially captured during a 911 call in 2024.

During an argument, Ridgebear could be heard threatening to hit the woman while she repeatedly told him to get off her and leave. Responding officers documented evidence that he had shoved her, choked her, pulled her hair, and punched her.

Investigators later recovered text messages showing that Ridgebear had also pulled a knife on her.

Then, while sitting in jail, he tried to change the story.

Ridgebear repeatedly contacted the victim and pressured her to submit false affidavits claiming that her severe bruising came from “rough sex” and that police had exaggerated what happened. He also attempted to persuade her not to testify before a grand jury.

Federal authorities classified Ridgebear as a habitual domestic abuser, citing a history that included prior domestic-violence convictions in 2017 and a 2020 domestic assault involving a dangerous weapon.

He was convicted of Domestic Assault in Indian Country by a Habitual Offender and Witness Tampering by Corrupt Persuasion.

In July 2026, Ridgebear was sentenced to 45 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

This wasn't just violence. It was violence followed by an attempt to make the victim rewrite what had been done to her.

He beat her. He choked her. He pulled a knife. Then, from jail, he tried to pressure her into calling the evidence of his violence “rough sex.” She survived the abuse. She shouldn't have had to survive his fucking attempt to erase it too.
