Loveland Cop Dylan Miller Sexually Assaulted a 15-Year-Old Girl While on Duty

Dylan Miller was a police officer with the Loveland Police Department in Colorado.

In August 2023, Miller approached a 15-year-old girl and her friend at North Lake Park.

He was on duty.

According to federal prosecutors, Miller ordered the teenager into his patrol car, drove her to a secluded area, removed his body camera and name tag, and sexually assaulted her.

He took off the things that identified him and recorded what he was doing.

But the girl survived. She reported him. And the case went to federal court.

After a 10-day trial, a jury found Miller guilty of violating the girl's civil rights under color of law.

In April 2026, he was sentenced to 17 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Colorado permanently barred him from ever working as a law enforcement officer in the state again.

He also faced separate state charges stemming from the same incident.

She was 15.

He was the cop.

And he deliberately removed his body camera before sexually assaulting her.
