In August 2026, Lindsay Barnett was found dead inside her Lakewood, Colorado home.

At first, the scene appeared to tell one story: suicide.

Investigators say the evidence told another.

According to prosecutors, detectives found indications that the scene had been staged and that Lindsay’s body had been moved. Authorities also allege that Patrick “Ted” Barnett, her husband, was involved in an extramarital relationship.

Days later, Barnett was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is being held without bond while the case proceeds.

Lindsay was 37 years old. She was an art teacher.
