Ralph Edward Mincey Is Accused of Killing His Wife and Daughter After a Family Argument

Ralph Edward Mincey, 63, is facing murder charges after authorities say he fatally shot his wife and their adult daughter at a home in Oxford, Georgia, on June 24, 2026.

The victims were Jennifer Lynn Mincey, 57, and Amanda Mincey McBrayer, 37.

Authorities responding to the home on Gauntt Road found Amanda dead at the scene. Jennifer was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

According to investigators and information from the 911 calls, the shooting followed a heated family argument. The confrontation reportedly began after Jennifer and Amanda criticized Mincey and accused him of failing to properly care for his elderly mother.

After the shooting, Mincey called 911 himself and reportedly told the dispatcher that he had “just lost it.”

He was arrested at the residence and is being held without bail in the Walton County Jail. Mincey faces two counts of felony murder and a weapons-possession charge.

The case remains pending, and Mincey has not been convicted of these charges.

Jennifer Mincey was 57. Amanda McBrayer was 37. A wife and daughter are dead after a family argument, and the man accused of killing them reportedly explained it with three fucking words: “just lost it.”
