Air Force Veteran Brandon Jividen Killed His Girlfriend and Their Two Young Daughters, Then Killed Himself

Brandon Jividen was a 37-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran living in Kenai, Alaska, with his girlfriend, Rebecca Adams, and their two daughters, Michelle and Jaracca Hundley.

In May 2014, the entire family suddenly disappeared.

Rebecca was 23. Michelle was 6. Jaracca was 3.

Their vehicles were still there. So were their wallets, cellphones, car seats, and camping equipment.

For nearly a year, nobody knew what had happened to them.

Then, in March 2015, investigators found the family's bodies together in a shallow grave in a wooded area less than half a mile from their home.

The investigation determined that Jividen had shot and killed Rebecca and both little girls before turning the gun on himself.

Police recovered two handguns, spent shell casings, and fired bullets near the bodies. One handgun had a serial number matching a gun owned within the family home.

Investigators never established a definitive motive.

There may never be an explanation that makes this make sense anyway.

Rebecca was 23. Michelle was 6. Jaracca was 3. Their names deserve to be said.
