Saleh Q. Mohamed Charged With Murdering His Wife, Their Two Young Sons, and Buffalo Store Clerk Shere Mubana

Saleh Q. Mohamed Is Accused of Killing His Wife, Their Two Young Children, and a Store Clerk in a Shooting Rampage

Saleh Q. Mohamed of Erie County, New York, is facing seven murder charges after prosecutors say he killed his wife, their two young children, and a convenience-store employee on June 1, 2026.

The violence allegedly began inside the family's home in Cheektowaga.

Prosecutors say Mohamed used a 9mm handgun to shoot and kill his 26-year-old wife, Aisha Abdullah, and their two sons, who were only 3 and 4 years old.

Authorities allege Mohamed then drove to Buffalo, where he entered a convenience store on Grant Street and fatally shot 43-year-old store clerk Shere Mubana.

Mohamed was arrested later that day.

An Erie County grand jury subsequently indicted him on seven murder counts, including three counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder. If convicted on the most serious charges, he could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Mohamed has pleaded not guilty and remains jailed without bail while awaiting trial.

In August 2026, a judge considered psychiatric evaluations requested by the defense. Two doctors concluded that Mohamed was competent to stand trial, meaning the criminal proceedings could continue. That finding addresses his legal ability to participate in his defense. It is not a determination of guilt or of his mental state at the time of the killings.

This case remains pending, so Mohamed has not been convicted of these murders.

Four people are dead, and their names belong in the record.

Aisha Abdullah was 26. Her sons were 3 and 4. Shere Mubana was 43 and working behind the counter of a neighborhood store. Prosecutors say one man took all four lives in a single fucking day. Now they deserve justice without disappearing behind his name.
