School Resource Officer Jayson Tatlock Pleaded Guilty to Child Seduction of a Student

Jayson Tatlock was a school resource officer at Bloomington High School North in Indiana. His job was to help keep students safe.

In June 2024, while off duty, Tatlock took a 17-year-old female student on a fishing trip. According to investigators, he provided her with alcohol and made inappropriate sexual advances.

Tatlock was later placed on administrative leave and resigned from his position.

In August 2026, he pleaded guilty to child seduction by a child care worker, a felony. Three misdemeanor charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Tatlock was sentenced to two years, with one year in prison and one year on home detention.

He must also register as a sex offender and have no contact with the victim.

This was not some stranger who wandered into a teenager's life.

He was the police officer assigned to her school.
