Former Yale Police Officer Ottilio Green Received Child Sexual Abuse Material for Years. He Got Six Years in Federal Prison.

Ottilio Green was a police officer with the Yale University Police Department in Connecticut.

He was still an active officer when Connecticut State Police arrested him in April 2025.

The investigation began with CyberTipline reports linking Green to child sexual abuse material.

Investigators searched further.

They found additional files and evidence that Green had used platforms including Telegram to receive child sexual abuse material for at least two years.

This wasn't a single file or an accidental download.

According to the federal case, it was sustained conduct stretching across years while Green was working as a police officer.

Green pleaded guilty in February 2026 to receiving child pornography, the statutory name of the federal offense.

On August 14, 2026, he was sentenced to 72 months in federal prison, followed by seven years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $10,000 in financial penalties.

Six years in federal prison.

Seven more under supervision.

And behind every file investigators found was something that should never be reduced to “pornography.”

Those files were evidence of real children being sexually abused. A police officer spent years consuming that abuse.
