Brooks Bradley Murdered His Wife, a Delaware Nurse and Mother of Two, Before Killing Himself

On July 5, 2026, Brooks Bradley, 43, called 911 and told a dispatcher he had killed his wife.

Then he hung up.

Dispatchers tried calling him back, but he never answered.

Delaware State Police and a Special Operations Response Team went to the family's home in Milford, Delaware, to conduct a welfare check.

When officers entered the house, they found Bradley and his wife, Jessica Bradley, 38, dead from gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined that Brooks had shot and killed Jessica before turning the gun on himself.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Jessica was a nurse practitioner at Bayhealth and a mother of two young boys.

Neither child was home when the shooting occurred.

Following the murders, the Bayhealth Foundation established the Jessica Bradley Fund to provide financial support for her surviving children.

Community members also organized meals and other assistance for the family.

Authorities have not publicly established a motive.

Because Brooks died, there will be no criminal trial.

Jessica Bradley was 38 years old. She was a mother, a nurse practitioner, and a woman whose life mattered far beyond the circumstances of her death.

She spent her career caring for other people.

Now her two little boys have to grow up without their mother because their father decided to kill her.

He got to make that decision. Jessica didn't. And neither did their fucking children.
